Decision makers are continuously faced with the challenge of optimising production planning and scheduling problems to reduce costs under uncertainty. Our partnership, which includes 2 universities, was awarded £1.54M (EP/M028240/1 & EP/M027856/1). Imperial Department of Computing was awarded £423k.

Richard Oberdieck gave us a great start as the first Research Assistant who contributed to this project. As a part of his contribution, Richard developed a robust optimization-based strategy for explicit model predictive control. His work has been presented in several conference venues and a full-length paper is under review.

Now, Dr Dimitrios Letsios is taking the project in some exciting new directions. Dr Letsios received 2nd Prize for his work at the 2017 Department of Computing Research Associate Symposium. Congratulations, Dr Letsios!
