Stefano joined Imperial College in September 2019 as a Swiss National Research Foundation (SNSF) Visiting Research Fellow to collaborate on the IDLES programme. Before that, he was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at EPFL (Switzerland).
Stefano holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Padova (Italy) and a PhD in Energy from EPFL. His main research interest is modeling and optimization of energy systems, with a particular focus on the consideration of uncertainty in energy planning. He is also the main developer of the open-source energy model “energyscope”.
